The Cocked Hat

The Cocked Hat, three rooms, open fires, great pies and beer. They also do a cracking cheese board!
What more could you ask for?

Built zonks ago, the Cocked Hat sits opposite St Mary’s church and the Traditional Grade 2 listed Market, as the only remaining pub on Stockport’s famous Rostron Brow, a steep alley which used to house the inns and houses of ill repute in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The deeds on the wall show the pubs history dating back to 1750!

With local ales from around the area, and fantastic chatty staff, live sport and regular entertainment, the Hat has become a firm favourite on the Stockport scene. We love the tea time buzz at The Cocked Hat, there is a wonderful mix of characters in the area, it has a real sense of fun about it.

The Cocked Hat continues to generate excellent reviews and comments culminating now in being voted PUB OF THE MONTH  for Stockport and South Manchester by CAMRA.

To quote the August edition of the OPENING TIMES “join us when we make this well deserved award on THURSDAY 28TH AUGUST!”

We hope that a few of our regulars and maybe customers of some of our other pubs will take the chance to have a pint or two at the Cocked Hat

Additionally this we came 4th out of 127 pubs entered in stockports perfect pub .

Finalists in Manchester evening news pub of the year.

And what's on magazine's pub of the month for October 2014
With any luck we will obtain more and more awards as we continue to implement our constant improvements to the Hat.
